Poochie Bells

House training my first Welsh terrier puppy was a far cry from my family's experience with my childhood Cocker Spaniel. Miles took a long time to teach, despite my diligent and consistent work from the beginning. When we finally progressed and developed a routine, his signal that he needed to go out consisted of a very subtle and quiet one-time half-circle somewhere near the door. When my training center had a sale, I decided to pick up a Poochie bell to see if the unassuming thing had any merit. It came with simple instructions. The next day Miles was ringing the bells to go out. The poochie bells have remained a successful part of our routine. Miles uses them to let me know when he wants to go outside. I still have to interpret whether or not his request has anything to do with bodily functions, but that hasn't really posed any problems.
